Consent for booking confirmations, boarding reminders, journey updates, drop alerts, support messages, offers, and service communication over WhatsApp.
MATO D2D policy framework
This page explains the passenger, platform, payment, privacy, and journey rules that apply while using MATO D2D services.
Consent to receive messages
By providing a mobile number or choosing WhatsApp communication, the passenger permits MATO D2D to send transactional and service-related WhatsApp messages connected to bookings, tickets, journey status, wallet, support, and safety.
Transactional communication
Transactional messages may include booking confirmation, QR ticket, payment status, boarding reminder, bus departed, delay alert, ETA update, approaching destination, journey completed, refund update, and support response.
Promotional communication
Promotional messages may include offers, referral benefits, membership updates, loyalty rewards, route launches, waitlist updates, and partner announcements where permitted by user preference and applicable communication rules.
Opt-out and preferences
Passengers may opt out of promotional WhatsApp communication where available. Important transactional, safety, payment, ticket, or support messages may still be sent when necessary to complete or protect the journey.
Sensitive information
Passengers should not share full card details, OTP, passwords, secret wallet information, or confidential identity documents over WhatsApp unless a secure verified process is provided.
Provider dependency
WhatsApp delivery may depend on Meta, telecom networks, templates, user device settings, and provider status. Message delays or failures may occur outside MATO D2D control.
